Now move on to the Lincoln Theatre where we will be treated to an afternoon concert performed by that crazy group Mike Williamson and Company starring Mike Williamson, and Patti Armato Lund. “Music Man” presented by Stages
Sun., September 7
10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Cost $78.00
We begin this day with lunch being served at Sunset “44” Bistro in Kirkwood. By combining the spirit of the Bistro with the eclectic style of American cuisine, Sunset 44 creates a unique experience. Today they are serving roast pork loin and dressing with soup du jour, lavosh and butter, mashed Yukon potatoes, vegetable du jour, fresh bread and dessert. Next we are headed for an fternoon show at Stages St. Louis for a performance of “Music Man.” Breakout the brass bands as fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill rolls into town. This tribute to small town America, tells the story of a smooth talking con man who hoodwinks the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys band. In the end they do get a band together despite a director who doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef! Today’s performance will have sing-a-long favorites
like “76 Trombones,” “Till There Was You,” “Trouble,” and “Goodnight, My Someone.” Full payment is due by July 1.
